When creating this piece i used an existing product as something to refur too, similarly to the existing product the mast head is easily spotted at the top of the page, it is imaprtant for this part to be intresting and really catch a customers eye as this is the first they will spot in the news rack.
The virgin logo at the top indicates that this magazine is aimed at virgin users and will be more afficent for that market.
i used alot of the convetions of magazines such my features being to the right hand side, and the cover stars name anchored on, so the audience assume that the guy they are seeing it 'matt' and he stars in doctor who, also coventions such as images on the front cover to indicate what to expect inside the magazine, as well as the bar code, colour codes and prize wins.
